Emily, a volunteer from the Foundation of Brethren, our host dad Edwin, and Pablo, our language facilitator

There was a fire not too far from our house but the bomberos couldn´t reach it with their truck so all the neighbors came out with their hoses

Yeah...then she threw it up in the tree...Escuela Para Padres??

We had our minga yesterday too (work party) which was one of our competencies that we had to complete for training. Adam and I decided to do a family appreciation minga where the kids made peanut butter cookies for their parents. We burned the first batch but the rest were amazingly good. We also did a self esteem activity with the kids.

The ingredients and recipe from our PC Buen Provecho cookbook

Adding the eggs into the two sticks of butter...mmm

Mixing it all up!

The kids had fun making the criss crosses with forks

Pablo, our facilitator, getting ready to put them in the oven

Tiffany´s host niece with her decorated paper bag

All of us with the kids and their bags of cookies for their parents
