Scheduling mishap and hiatus for 2 days!

Oops! Eri and I made our first scheduling boo boo! We had an origami workshop with the 6th graders (I discovered that is indeed technically our U.S. 5th grade) at Escuela Dolorosa, the school we have been going to. They were the last class to have a workshop with us so they were pretty jazzed.

I had written in my calendar that it was at 2:10pm but when Eri called me this morning, she told me that we could me in front of the school at 4pm or 3:30pm in the office. I assumed that I had written it into my calendar wrong and didn't even say anything, so we met up at 3:30pm in the office and arrived at the school around 4pm. The kids from the 6th grade were on recess and they all came running to us saying that we missed our appointment with them! Eri opened up her calendar...and saw that she had written 14:10 on her calendar...but she didn't see the "1" when she had doublechecked it yesterday. How terrible!

So of course, there I went again...having some possible information but not saying anything because I assumed I was wrong. We were so mortified because the kids had all brought their paper in and were waiting at 2:10 for us! We apologized to the teacher and are now scheduled for 2:10pm next Wednesday.

Tomorrow we are leaving at 4am to head to Celica and Puyango- towns that are about 5-6 hours away but only 4 hours away by INFA truck. We are going to be doing a workshop (of course on origami!) with teachers in the region for 2 days. It should be interesting. Adam's first few days away from me in a long time! Hope he survives! And I hope you all survive with additional lapses in photos.
