Joshua Tree March 2007

In March, Adam and I went tent camping in Joshua Tree with two of my co-workers, Jennifer and Joan. We had a good time- we ate hobo packs, made banana boats, and chatted around our campfire. Joshua Tree was amazing- the jumbo rocks were stunning, the night sky was so clear, and the trees are beautiful. Here are some highlights from our camping trip.

Joan and Jennifer at our campsite at the Black Rock Campground.

Dusk at the campground- it actually got pretty cold at night.

Joan and her chocolate brownie and marshmallow stuffed banana boat!

It was actually pretty quiet and relaxing at our campground. A nice break from the daily grind.

View of trails through the joshua trees and creosote bushes.

We took a short walking hike around the Barker Dam- it was nice to see that little bit of water in the middle of the hot desert.

We also took walks around the Jumbo Rocks area- there were rock climbers all over the area. After seeing all the rocks, it is no surprise that so many climbers come out here.

Adam climbed up by the Arch Rock. I didn't- clearly because I am accident prone!

While we prepped breakfast of eggs and bacon, Adam swept and cleaned the tents before we headed home!
